What is ISO 45001?
ISO 45001 is the international standard for occupational health and safety management. It replaced OHSAS 18001 and gives you a framework to identify hazards, assess and control risks, involve your workforce, meet your legal duties and learn from incidents. The aim is simple: fewer people hurt at work, and a business that can show it takes safety seriously.
Who needs it?
- Construction contractors and subcontractors working under CDM 2015
- Fabricators, engineering firms and manufacturers with workshop and machinery risks
- Businesses completing safety prequalification questionnaires for clients and main contractors
- Organisations that want to move from reactive safety to a planned, managed approach
